Metamask is now collecting your IP address and an Ethereum wallet address. Simply switch to a decentralized RPC provider Pocket Network and problem solved.

It might sound disturbing that Consensys, the company that owns MetaMask, has just updated its Privacy Policy and from now on whenever you use Infura as your default RPC provider in MetaMask, Infura will collect your IP address and your Ethereum wallet address when you send a transaction. People are overreacting imho because it would be a disaster if there is no working decentralized solution in place, but builders in this space have taken care of it already. Your IP address and your ETH wallet address are safe!
