It might sound disturbing that Consensys, the company that owns MetaMask, has just updated its Privacy Policy and from now on whenever you use Infura as your default RPC provider in MetaMask, Infura will collect your IP address and your Ethereum wallet address when you send a transaction. However, it’s very easy to fix/bypass this issue by switching to Pocket Network RPCs. Totally decentralized and easy to do in seconds: https://docs.pokt.network/use/public-rpc/
It’s also cheaper than Infura, much more stable, and comes with the 250k relays for free.

People are overreacting imho because it would be a disaster if there is no working decentralized solution in place, but builders in this space have taken care of it already. Your IP address and your ETH wallet address are safe!
